Protein Waffles

Makes 3-4 Belgium waffles

What you need: 
1 3/4 cup sprouted spelt flour
1 scoop Sunwarrior Classic Protein Vanilla
1/4 cup hemp hearts
1/4 cup sheep yogurt or greek yogurt
1 tsp aluminum-free baking powder
1 tsp aluminum-free baking soda
2 organic eggs, beaten (or chia/flax egg for a vegan version)
2 cups unsweetened nut/seed milk
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted

What to do:
-Mix your flour, protein, baking powder and baking soda in one large measuring bowl. In a separate small measuring cup beat the eggs (but don’t hurt them), stir in the nut/seed milk and then slowly add the melted coconut oil (don’t make the oil too hot or it will likely cook the eggs)
-Add the liquid to the dry and mix until you have a smooth batter. Preheat your Belgium waffle maker and grease with coconut oil as needed. Cook as instructed by your waffle maker.
-Top with extra hemp, blueberries, hemp oil and pure maple syrup

NOTES:
-Mix hemp oil and maple syrup in equal ratios to decrease sugar intake and increase healthy fat and omega 3 intake
