Makes 1 serving
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 1/2 cups unsweetened plant-based milk
1/2 tsp fresh turmeric root, grated (or 1/4 tsp ground)
1/8 tsp fresh ginger root, grated (optional)
Freshly ground black pepper - to increase curcumin bioavailability
Pinch of "true" cinnamon
1 tsp coconut oil, grass-fed butter or ghee
1/2 tbsp raw honey (or desired sweetener)
WHAT TO DO:
-Add your milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper and healthy fat (coconut oil, butter or ghee) to a pot over medium-high heat.
-Bring to a simmer and whisk until the oil and milk has frothed (3-5 minutes).
-Reduce to low heat and continue to whisk (2 minutes)
-Pour your "latte" into a tea cup or mug and stir in the raw honey
-Top with dash of cinnamon and enjoy!
