Vibrant Turmeric Latte Cubes
Makes 10 king cubes (1/2 cup size) 10 servings
WHAT YOU NEED:
2 Tovolo Silicone King Cube Trays (2" cubes)
3 cups full-fat coconut milk (combine the coconut cream and water)
3 tsp fresh turmeric root, grated (or 1 1/2 tsp turmeric root powder)
1 tsp fresh ginger root, grated (or 1/2 tsp ginger root powder)
1 tsp true Ceylon cinnamon powder
Pinch of black pepper
1/3 cup raw honey or pure maple syrup (optional)*
WHAT TO DO:
-Add your coconut milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and pepper to a pot and heat over medium-high.
-Bring to a gentle simmer and then reduce the heat to low, cook for 5-7 minutes until fragrant and vibrant.
-Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly before optionally adding the honey or maple syrup to sweeten*
-Place your Tovolo King Cube Trays on a baking sheet to keep them sturdy and balanced. Pour ½ cup of your concentrated turmeric latte into each square, making about 10 in total.
-Transfer to the freezer for at least 4-hours, to ensure your cubes are frozen.
-Store in the freezer until use, and enjoy the benefits of turmeric without the mess!
You can make this recipe with or without the sweetener. When using your Vibrant Turmeric Cubes in recipes, you can add your sweetener optionally and in your desired amount.
MAKE A SIMPLE TURMERIC LATTE
-Add 1 Vibrant Turmeric Latte Cube to a pot with 1 to 1 ½ cups of your favourite unsweetened plant milk. Cook over low heat until your turmeric cube has melted, whisk until creamy and evenly combined.
-If you did not add a sweetener while making the cubes, add in 1-2 tbsp of raw honey or maple syrup
-Pour into your favourite mug or travel cup and enjoy!
